Iron infusions are provided in conjunction with a nurse after a pre-assessment appointment with the Dr to work out if an iron infusion is indicated and meets your health needs. An iv cannula is inserted in your arm for the procedure and the infusion takes 15-20 mins followed by a 30min observation period. At all times a nurse and Dr are present to monitor the infusion.
